DOCUMENTATION WITH COUNTRIES OF THE EAST

The circulation and legal recognition of documents between Armenia and Eastern countries are based either on the "Apostille" simplified certification convention, or on bilateral/multilateral legal mutual assistance treaties and diplomatic legalization.

Drawing up business or legal documents with Eastern countries (for example, United Arab Emirates, China, India) requires mandatory certification (legalization) or an apostille to ensure their legal force in both countries.
The necessary steps for the implementation and precise drafting of document circulation include:

TRANSLATION AND NOTARIAL CERTIFICATION
Documents must be translated into the official language of the given country or into English accepted in international business, confirmed by a notary.

TRADITIONAL DIPLOMATIC LEGALIZATION
The document is first certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the given country, then passes consular certification in that country by the Embassy of the RA, and in the final stage is confirmed by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RA.
