DOCUMENTATION WITH MEMBER COUNTRIES OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF INDEPENDENT STATES
The circulation, validity and mutual recognition of documents between the member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States are mainly regulated by interstate agreements, the main of which is the 1993 Minsk Convention "On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Cases".
MUTUAL RECOGNITION OF DOCUMENTS. WITHOUT ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATION (APOSTILLE).
In the territory of the member countries of the Convention, official documents (for example, judicial, notarial, acts of civil status) circulate without any special certification (for example, there is no need for an apostille), if they are signed by an authorized person and confirmed by an official stamp.
TRANSLATION
Documents are recognized in the state language, if necessary, accompanied by a notarially certified translation made into the official language of the country.
ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT CIRCULATION AND INFORMATION COOPERATION.
Although legal mutual assistance based on traditional paper documents is organized through the ministries of foreign affairs and justice, along with the expansion of cooperation, electronic tools are also actively being introduced.

DOCUMENTATION IN THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA
The mandatory use of the Armenian language in documentation, clerical work and official communication in the Republic of Armenia is regulated by the RA Law "On Language" and a number of related legal acts.
Main requirements of the Law "On Language"
STATE AND OFFICIAL LANGUAGE
The state language of the RA is Armenian. It serves all spheres of the republic's life, including the clerical work of state and local self-government bodies.
CIRCULATION OF DOCUMENTS
Official documents of all state and private organizations (legislation, orders, contracts, forms, acts) in Armenia must be drawn up in Armenian.
ALLOWABILITY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE DOCUMENTS
Contracts concluded with foreign organizations or citizens can also be drawn up in another language, provided there is a mandatory Armenian translation (with notarial or apostille certification).
REGULATION OF PROPER NAMES
The rules for Armenian transliteration and writing of foreign proper names and terms in state documents are established by decisions of the RA Government.
